Devil's Claw is generally well tolerated for short-term use in healthy adults, but digestive upset is common — some trial participants reported diarrhea, indigestion, or other stomach discomfort, especially at higher doses. In rare cases, gastrointestinal bleeding has been reported.

A small number of trial participants also reported headache, dizziness, ringing in the ears, or loss of taste, though it's unclear whether devil's claw caused these. Avoid it during pregnancy because it may affect the uterus and safety hasn't been established.
