by Probiology by Belle + Bella
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Flora Restore against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Flora Restore contains 11 active ingredients—a bacterial culture blend made up of multiple Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains (L. acidophilus HA-122, L. salivarius HA-118, B. longum HA-135, L. rhamnosus HA-500, L. plantarum HA-119, L. helveticus HA-501, L. bulgaricus HA-137, L. casei HA-108, B. breve HA-129), plus Streptococcus thermophilus HA-110 and Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS, a carbohydrate that acts as food for beneficial bacteria). The capsule also contains inactive ingredients: vegetable capsule material, aqueous coating, vegetable magnesium stearate, and ascorbic acid.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that this product works for any single condition. Most of the individual bacterial strains show insufficient reliable evidence for the uses they're being studied for—conditions like antibiotic-associated diarrhea, hay fever, and cognitive decline.
A few strains like L. acidophilus carry ratings of 'Possibly Effective' for irritable bowel syndrome, H. pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis, but 'possibly effective' means the evidence is still incomplete. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product fits your health goals.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The bacterial strains in this product are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. The most common side effects from the probiotic bacteria and FOS are mild gastrointestinal symptoms—bloating, gas, flatulence, and abdominal discomfort—especially when you first start taking it or at higher doses.
These are usually mild and tend to ease. Serious infections from probiotics are rare but have been reported in people who are severely ill, premature infants, or have weakened immune systems.
If you fall into those groups or have an indwelling catheter, check with your doctor first. For pregnancy, L. acidophilus, B. longum, and S. thermophilus are rated possibly safe; data for the other strains are incomplete, so talk with your doctor about what's right for you.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Separate antibiotic drugs from this product by several hours—antibiotics can kill the live bacteria and reduce its effectiveness. Use the medication checker on this page to confirm your exact antibiotics and any other medications before you start.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Flora Restore is a multi-strain probiotic blend with FOS designed to support digestive health, though the evidence for specific benefits remains incomplete. The main caution is timing: if you're on antibiotics, take this supplement several hours apart from your antibiotic dose to protect the live bacteria.
If you're seriously ill, immunocompromised, or pregnant, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
