What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking German Creatine & L-Glutamine against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This powder contains two active ingredients: L-Glutamine and Creatine Monohydrate. L-Glutamine is an amino acid your body uses for immune function, gut health, and muscle recovery.
Creatine monohydrate is a compound that helps muscle cells produce energy during intense exercise or activity.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
L-Glutamine is rated effective for sickle cell disease and possibly effective for HIV/AIDS-related wasting, postoperative recovery, and critical illness from trauma. Creatine monohydrate is possibly effective for muscle strength, athletic performance, and sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss), though it's rated possibly ineffective for Huntington disease and osteopenia.
The evidence supporting either ingredient for general fitness or everyday wellness isn't established in the data we hold.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
L-Glutamine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults; people with kidney or liver disease should only use it under medical supervision. Common side effects include belching, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, headache, and gastrointestinal pain.
Creatine monohydrate is also generally well tolerated orally in healthy people, though those with kidney problems should be cautious. Its most common side effects are dehydration, diarrhea, gastrointestinal upset, muscle cramps, and water retention; rare serious concerns include kidney damage and muscle breakdown.
For L-Glutamine during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the data suggests it's likely safe in pregnancy, but there isn't enough safety information for nursing mothers—talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized guidance. For Creatine, safety during pregnancy has not been established and should be avoided, and there is not enough safety information for breastfeeding, so it should be avoided as well.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before starting this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take anticonvulsant medications (drugs for seizures)—L-Glutamine may theoretically reduce their effectiveness, though this hasn't been confirmed in patients. If you have kidney disease, mention that too, since both ingredients can be a concern for kidney health.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may help with muscle strength and athletic performance (through creatine) or recovery from critical illness and wasting (through glutamine), but the evidence is limited. If you take seizure medication, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting—L-Glutamine may interfere with how those drugs work.
People with kidney disease should also clear it with their healthcare provider first. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should discuss it with their doctor or pharmacist, as safety data is incomplete for both ingredients in these situations.

German Creatine & L-Glutamine by Fitness Labs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Fitness Labs German Creatine & L-Glutamine carries one documented interaction through its L-Glutamine content: it may theoretically interfere with anticonvulsant medications (drugs used to prevent seizures).
Glutamine is broken down in your body to glutamate, an excitatory brain chemical that could work against seizure medications—though this hasn't been reported in actual patients yet. The concern is moderate in severity.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Creatine monohydrate, the product's other active ingredient, shows no interactions documented in our data.
Although we hold interaction data for both ingredients in this product, we could not find complete medication checking for every drug you might take. Altogether, these interactions span 50 individual medications.
