HMF Replenish Capsules Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Genestra Brands
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking HMF Replenish Capsules against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
HMF Replenish has four active ingredients, all probiotics (live beneficial bacteria): Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus salivarius, and Lactobacillus acidophilus. Probiotics work by supporting your gut bacteria balance.
The product also contains several inactive ingredients — hypromellose (the capsule material), fructooligosaccharides (a prebiotic fiber that feeds good bacteria), sunflower lecithin, and silica (a flow agent).
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The three strains we have evidence for show promise in several areas. Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis and Bifidobacterium bifidum are possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and respiratory tract infections.
Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for IBS, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis. For other conditions listed (hay fever, Alzheimer's disease, anxiety), the evidence isn't established yet.
We don't have effectiveness data on file for Lactobacillus salivarius.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
All three probiotics we checked are generally well tolerated by most healthy people. The most common side effect reported is diarrhea, especially when first starting.
Some people also report bloating or flatulence, though these haven't been specifically tied to these particular strains. Rare serious infections (like bacterial translocation into the bloodstream) have been reported in critically ill or severely immunocompromised patients — not in healthy adults.
If you have a weakened immune system, check with your doctor first. For pregnancy, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus are rated as possibly safe, but data are limited — there's no pregnancy/lactation data on file for the other two strains.
Talk with your doctor if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take antibiotic drugs, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting HMF Replenish. Antibiotics can reduce how well the probiotics work if you take them at the same time.
Your healthcare provider can help you space them out correctly.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
HMF Replenish is a four-strain probiotic aimed at supporting gut health and possibly helping with IBS and some infections. It's generally well tolerated, but the main thing to watch is timing with antibiotics — you'll need to space them apart so the antibiotics don't kill off the live bacteria you're trying to add.
If you're on antibiotics, pregnant, nursing, or have a weakened immune system, talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

HMF Replenish Capsules by Genestra Brands Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
HMF Replenish Capsules contains four probiotic strains, three of which have documented interactions: Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, Bifidobacterium bifidum, and Lactobacillus acidophilus.
All three carry the same Moderate-severity interaction with antibiotic drugs. Because these products contain live organisms, taking antibiotics at the same time might kill enough of the bacteria to make the probiotic less effective.
The way around this is simple: space them out — take your antibiotic and the probiotic several hours apart, or ask your pharmacist for the best timing for your specific antibiotic.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
We could not check interaction data for Lactobacillus salivarius (one of the four active ingredients), so there may be additional interactions we're not aware of. Before you start this product, run your exact medications through the search tool on this page — especially if you're on antibiotics.
Your doctor or pharmacist can help you time everything correctly.
