The evidence for these probiotics in infants is limited. Bifidobacterium bifidum shows possibly effective ratings for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and respiratory tract infections.
The other ingredients have either insufficient evidence or possibly ineffective ratings for the conditions we have data on — including age-related cognitive decline, allergic rhinitis, and several others — so we don't yet know how well they work for many purposes.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The Bifidobacterium species in this product are generally well tolerated in healthy infants, though there's a rare risk of bacteremia (bacteria in the bloodstream) in critically ill or very premature infants — something to discuss with your pediatrician if your baby has serious illness or immune system issues. Fructooligosaccharides can cause gas, bloating, and abdominal discomfort, especially at higher doses, though clinical studies suggest doses under 10 grams daily are usually mild.
Limited safety data exist for supplement-level doses, so use only with your doctor's guidance. Pregnancy and lactation data are on file only for Bifidobacterium bifidum, which is rated possibly safe during pregnancy; data for the other ingredients during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not on file.

Suggested Use: For infants ages 6 months to 3 years: Take one level scoop per day mixed with formula, drink or food such as cereal, yogurt or applesauce, or as directed by your child's healthcare professional. You may start with 1/2 scoop for 3-5 days to acclimate your infants digestive system to the probiotics. For children ages 3+ years: Take one level scoop up to 3 times daily mixed with formula, drink or food such as cereal, yogurt or applesauce, or as directed by your child's healthcare professional.

Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium breve with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. breve.
Since B. breve preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. breve preparations by at least 2 hours.
