Formula |
- Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus), also known as hou tou gu or yamabushitake are large white shaggy mushrooms that resemble a lion's mane. Treasured for centuries throughout China and Japan, lion's mane was used as both a culinary delicacy and as a tonic for supporting mental alertness and calm. Lion's mane may assist in the production of nerve growth factor in the brain, a protein that promotes the growth and normal function of nerve cells. Lion's mane mushrooms also contain high levels of beta-glucans (25%+), known for their immune-supportive properties.
Lion's mane has a mild, sweet-but-savory, licorice-like flavor. Our pure, wood-grown mushroom powders are made by hot water extraction using the fruiting body of the fungi.
- Certified organic, vegan, kosher, and gluten-free.
