Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains 4 active ingredients, all androgenic compounds or prohormones: androsterone, 1-androstene-3beta-ol,17-one, 4-androstene-3beta-ol,17-one, and androsta-3,5-diene-7,17-dione (arimistane). These are hormone-altering compounds designed to affect testosterone and estrogen pathways in the body.
The product also contains several inactive ingredients—microcrystalline cellulose, phosphatidylcholine, hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin, phytosterol, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, starch, titanium dioxide, silica, and food colorants (FD&C #40 and Yellow #6)—which serve as binders, fillers, and coating materials.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
The evidence supporting these ingredients is not established in our data. All four active ingredients carry ratings of insufficient reliable evidence for their stated purposes—athletic performance, sexual function, muscle strength, obesity, and erectile dysfunction among them.
This means trials have not yet demonstrated clear benefit for these uses, or the available research is too limited to make a confident assessment.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These ingredients carry significant safety concerns. Androsterone is a controlled anabolic-androgenic steroid illegal to sell as a dietary supplement in the U.S., and it is possibly unsafe orally with concern for serious side effects including heart disease and liver injury.
The three prohormones (1-androstene-3beta-ol,17-one, 4-androstene-3beta-ol,17-one, and arimistane) are hormone-altering compounds with limited safety testing. Trial participants taking 1-androstene-3beta-ol,17-one showed significant changes in cholesterol (LDL up ~29 mg/dL, HDL down ~19 mg/dL) and kidney function (creatinine elevation and a drop in GFR below 89 mL/min/1.72m², suggesting early kidney impairment) over 4 weeks, plus abnormal liver enzymes and problems with lipid metabolism.
None of these ingredients should be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding due to risk of harm to the baby from hormone exposure.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check your medications with your doctor or pharmacist if you take testosterone or any other androgenic drugs (Moderate severity risk), or aromatase inhibitors used for estrogen control (Moderate severity risk). These combinations may increase the risk of mood disturbances, cardiovascular problems, kidney or liver injury, and low-estrogen side effects.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product contains androgenic hormones and prohormones with insufficient evidence of benefit and documented risks to the heart, liver, kidneys, and cholesterol profile. It is not appropriate for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and androsterone itself is illegal to sell as a supplement in the U.S.
If you're considering this product, talk with your own doctor or pharmacist first—especially if you take testosterone, other androgens, or aromatase inhibitors.

Androsterone
Androgens
Androsterone, as an androgenic hormone, may interact with other androgenic drugs, such as testosterone, due to their similar mechanisms of action. Both androsterone and testosterone bind to androgen receptors in various tissues throughout the body, leading to similar physiological effects related to the development and maintenance of male secondary sexual characteristics. When taken together, these compounds can potentially amplify these effects, leading to an increased risk of androgenic side effects, such as acne, hair loss, and changes in libido. Additionally, combining androsterone with testosterone or other androgenic drugs may also affect hormone levels and balance in the body, potentially leading to hormonal imbalances or disruptions in the endocrine system.

Testosterone
Theoretically, taking 1-androsterone with testosterone might increase the risk for additive adverse effects such as mood disturbances and cardiovascular, kidney, or liver problems.
1-Androsterone is converted to 1-testosterone and other androgens upon ingestion.
Androsta-3,5-Diene-7,17-Dione
Aromatase Inhibitors
It is believed that Arimistane inhibits the aromatase enzyme, which may interact with other aromatase inhibitors. This interaction could potentially increase the risk of side effects associated with low estrogen levels or from additive side effects, such as an increased risk of liver toxicity. It is recommended to consult with a healthcare provider before combining Arimistane with other aromatase inhibitors to assess the potential risks and benefits.
