Serraflazyme contains one active ingredient: serrapeptase, an enzyme extracted from the silkworm. The product also includes several inactive ingredients — microcrystalline cellulose, calcium phosphate, and others — that serve as fillers and binders to hold the tablet together.

The evidence for serrapeptase isn't established in our data. We hold insufficient reliable evidence to rate it for chronic bronchitis, asthma, atherosclerosis, back pain, or osteoporosis — the conditions most commonly linked to it.
That doesn't mean it doesn't work; it means good clinical trials supporting these uses aren't on file yet.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Serrapeptase is generally well tolerated short-term. The most common side effects are epigastric pain (upper stomach discomfort), gastrointestinal upset, and nausea — and these appear to occur at about the same rate as placebo in trials.
A rare serious side effect (bullous pemphigoid, a blistering skin condition) has been reported, though it's uncommon. Long-term safety isn't well studied, so caution is warranted with extended use.
The safety data advises against use during pregnancy. While breastfeeding, there's no reliable safety information, so it's best avoided.
