Sacred Lotus (young leaves) extract
Description:Nelumbo nucifera, also commonly known as the sacred lotus or Indian lotus, is a species of aquatic flowering plant in the water lily family (Nymphaeaceae). It is native to Asia and is widely cultivated for its flowers and for use in traditional medicine. The plant also produces large, round seeds that are contained in a spiky pod. The sacred lotus is an important cultural and spiritual symbol in many parts of the world. In traditional medicine, the roots, leaves, seeds, and flowers of the lotus are used to treat a variety of conditions, including digestive problems, skin ailments, and respiratory issues. The plant is purported to have anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and sedative properties. The flowers, seeds, leaves, and rhizomes (underground plant stem) of lotus are all considered edible.
