Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

The Circulation Solution contains one active ingredient: nattokinase, an enzyme derived from fermented soybeans. The other ingredients are inactive — soybean oil, gelatin, glycerin, soybean lecithin, glycerin fatty acid ester, and beeswax — which make up the softgel capsule itself.

Does it work?

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not established

The graded evidence we hold for these ingredients covers different conditions than the ones this product is marketed for, so there's no established rating for its stated use — see Nattokinase's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: Heart and circulatory health support.
  • We looked for evidence on: Angina, Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular disease (CVD), Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension, Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) — and 4 related terms.
  • The closest evidence on file: Nattokinase is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Angina (Natural Medicines).
  • Also on file: Nattokinase is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular disease (CVD), Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension, and more.

The evidence we hold doesn't establish that nattokinase is effective for any of its promoted uses, including angina, atherosclerosis, cancer, cardiovascular disease, or chronic fatigue syndrome. All carry a rating of insufficient reliable evidence.

That doesn't mean it doesn't work — it means the data we have isn't strong enough to say either way.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Nattokinase is generally well tolerated short-term, but its blood-thinning effect means you should be cautious if you have any bleeding risk. Rare cases of bleeding, including a serious brain bleed, have been reported.

It can also cause allergic reactions in people sensitive to natto or its components — symptoms can include throat and airway swelling. Not enough safety data exists during pregnancy, so the safety data advises against it.

Safety while breastfeeding is unknown, so avoid it to be safe. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Moderate interaction found
Known Interaction Concern · database check
Moderate identified

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Nattokinase.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 289 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this, double-check with your pharmacist if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel, others) or blood pressure medications — both carry Moderate interaction risk with nattokinase.

The Circulation Solution by Health Resources: Common Questions

Does The Circulation Solution by Health Resources interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, The Circulation Solution has a known interaction with 289 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
The Circulation Solution contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Can I take this if I'm on aspirin?
Not without talking to your pharmacist first. Nattokinase thins the blood, and aspirin does too — together they raise your bleeding risk. There's even a case report of brain bleeding when someone combined them. Your pharmacist needs to know your dose and your reason for aspirin before you start.
What if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
The safety data advises against nattokinase during pregnancy. While breastfeeding, safety is unknown, so it's best to avoid it. Talk with your doctor before taking it if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or nursing.
Can I take this with blood pressure medication?
Nattokinase may lower blood pressure on its own, so combining it with blood pressure drugs could push your pressure too low. Check with your pharmacist about your specific medication before starting.
Does this actually work for circulation?
We don't have evidence strong enough to say nattokinase is effective for circulation, angina, atherosclerosis, or cardiovascular disease. The data we hold rates all of those as insufficient evidence.
What are the side effects?
It's generally well tolerated, but bleeding is the main concern — rare cases have been reported. If you're sensitive to natto (fermented soybeans), you could have an allergic reaction with throat or airway swelling. Stop and seek help right away if you notice unusual bruising, bleeding, or trouble breathing.
Is there anything else in the capsule besides nattokinase?
The capsule contains soybean oil, gelatin, glycerin, soybean lecithin, glycerin fatty acid ester, and beeswax — all inactive ingredients that form the softgel. If you're allergic to soy, gelatin, or any of those, let your pharmacist know.
