TruBifido Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking TruBifido against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of TruBifido by Master Supplements
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
TruBifido contains five active ingredients, all probiotics—beneficial live bacteria. The two we have detailed data for are Bifidobacterium longum infantis and Bifidobacterium bifidum; the others are additional Bifidobacterium strains (Bi-07, HN019, and animalis lactis) grouped in a proprietary blend.
The inactive ingredients are cellulose, alginate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, gellan gum, water, phosphate, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, ascorbic acid, LactoStim, and calcium silicate—these are binders, fillers, and capsule materials.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Evidence for this product is mixed and limited. Bifidobacterium bifidum shows possibly effective ratings for irritable bowel syndrome and respiratory tract infections, but evidence is insufficient to rate its use for hay fever, Alzheimer disease, or anxiety.
Bifidobacterium longum infantis is rated possibly ineffective for age-related cognitive decline and sepsis, and we have insufficient evidence for hay fever, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and atopic disease. For most of the conditions these strains might target, the research just isn't there yet.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Both checked Bifidobacterium strains are generally well tolerated in healthy people, but caution is warranted if you're very ill or immunocompromised—there are rare reports of these bacteria entering the bloodstream in critically ill patients, including infants in intensive care. Bloating and flatulence are known side effects of probiotics in general, though they haven't been specifically reported for these strains.
Safety data overall are limited, so check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting, especially if you have a weakened immune system. We have no pregnancy or breastfeeding safety data on file for these ingredients.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking TruBifido, check with your pharmacist if you're on any antibiotic drugs—these can kill off the live bacteria in this supplement if taken at the same time. Space doses a few hours apart to protect the product's effectiveness.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
TruBifido is a multispecies probiotic aimed at digestive and immune support. If you take antibiotics, you'll need to separate doses from this product to keep it effective.
Anyone very ill or immunocompromised should talk to their doctor first. Run your current medications through the checker before you start.

TruBifido by Master Supplements Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
TruBifido by Master Supplements is a probiotic capsule that interacts with one major medication type we've documented: antibiotics.
Both of the checked active ingredients—Bifidobacterium longum infantis and Bifidobacterium bifidum—are affected. Since these are live organisms, antibiotics taken at the same time can kill them off and reduce the supplement's effectiveness.
The solution is simple: space out your antibiotic doses and this product by a few hours, and let your pharmacist know you're taking both.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
We couldn't check the interaction data for three other Bifidobacterium strains in the proprietary blend, so there may be additional interactions we're unaware of. Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
