Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) at 100 mg per softgel. CoQ10 is a naturally occurring compound your body uses to produce energy in cells and to act as an antioxidant.
The softgel capsule also contains several inactive ingredients — canola oil, gelatin, glycerin, diglycerol monooleate, purified water, beeswax, caramel color, and sunflower lecithin — which help deliver the CoQ10.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
The evidence behind CoQ10 differs by condition. It's rated likely effective for CoQ10 deficiency itself.
For fibromyalgia, migraines, congestive heart failure, and diabetic nerve pain (neuropathy), the evidence is rated possibly effective — meaning there's some research support but not yet conclusive proof. If you're taking this for one of those reasons, discuss with your doctor whether the current evidence fits your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
CoQ10 is generally well tolerated when used as directed. In clinical trials, no serious side effects were reported.
Minor gastrointestinal effects — like appetite loss, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting — occurred in fewer than 1% of people taking it; dividing doses above 100 mg throughout the day may help reduce these. Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have been reported occasionally.
A small number of people reported skin itching or rash. There isn't enough reliable safety data during pregnancy, so it's best to avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Safety while breastfeeding hasn't been well studied, so check with your doctor before use.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, double-check if you take warfarin (or other blood thinners with vitamin K interactions) — CoQ10 may reduce its effectiveness. If you're on chemotherapy, particularly alkylating agents, discuss this with your oncologist, as CoQ10 might interfere with treatment.
Let your pharmacist know if you take blood pressure medications, since CoQ10 could add to their effect.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
CoQ10 is a reasonable option if you're deficient in it or exploring it for migraines, heart failure, or neuropathy — but you must check with your pharmacist first if you take warfarin, chemotherapy, or blood pressure medication. It's generally easy on the stomach at this dose, though a small number of people notice mild GI side effects or sleep changes.

UBQH 100 mg by Integrative Therapeutics Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
UBQH 100 mg by Integrative Therapeutics contains coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), which does interact with some medications.
The most serious concern is with warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner. CoQ10 is chemically similar to vitamin K and may reduce warfarin's ability to prevent blood clots — four cases of decreased warfarin effectiveness linked to CoQ10 have been reported in the literature.
If you take warfarin, you'll need to discuss this product with your pharmacist or doctor before starting.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
CoQ10 may also reduce the effectiveness of certain chemotherapy drugs, particularly alkylating agents like cyclophosphamide. Because CoQ10 is an antioxidant, it could theoretically protect cancer cells from chemotherapy that works by creating free radicals.
If you're undergoing cancer treatment, check with your oncologist first.
A minor interaction is possible with blood pressure medications. Some research shows CoQ10 can lower blood pressure, so it might add to the effect of your antihypertensive drugs — meaning you could experience lower readings than expected.
Additionally, no interactions are documented for other common medication types. Altogether, these interactions span 196 individual medications.
Use the medication checker on this page to verify your specific prescriptions before you start.

For each ingredient in UBQH 100 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Coenzyme Q10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
