Cablivi falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Aconite interacts with.

Theoretically, combining aconite with other antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
Higenamine, a constituent of aconite, is thought to have antiplatelet and antithrombotic effects. In an animal model of thrombosis, higenamine inhibited platelet aggregation and reduced the size of thrombus formation.

Cablivi (caplacizumab) already lowers your body's ability to form clots, which is exactly why it helps in aTTP. Bleeding and easy bruising are well-known side effects, especially nosebleeds, gum bleeding, and heavier bleeding from cuts. Aconite contains a compound called higenamine that, in lab and animal studies, also seemed to keep platelets from clumping together. So in theory, stacking the two could add up to more bruising and bleeding than Cablivi alone.

Keep in mind this concern is theoretical and based only on animal and test-tube data, not human studies. But separate from that, raw or unprocessed aconite is genuinely poisonous and not something I'd ever recommend taking. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using any product containing it.

What Is Caplacizumab-yhdp Injection Used For?

Brand name: Cablivi

  • Caplacizumab-yhdp injection is used to treat acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (aTTP; a disorder in which the body attacks itself and causes clots, low amounts of platelets and red blood cells, and could cause other serious complications) in combination with plasma exchange therapy and immunosuppressant medications. Caplacizumab-yhdp is in a class of medications called antithrombotic agents. It works by blocking the action of a certain substance in the body that causes the symptoms of aTTP.
