Here's the gist with your Rutuss combo (chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine, and phenylpropanolamine) and alfalfa. The concern isn't about alfalfa changing how this medicine works in your body. Instead, both alfalfa and certain cold-and-allergy ingredients can, in theory, make your skin a little more sensitive to sunlight. Stacking them might add up, so you could sunburn more easily than usual.

Honestly, this is a weak, theory-based concern. It comes mostly from animal studies using very high alfalfa doses, likely tied to its chlorophyll, and we don't know if it matters in real people. Normal food amounts of alfalfa are very unlikely to be a problem. If you take concentrated alfalfa supplements, just use sunscreen and check with your pharmacist or doctor to be safe.
