Here's the gist with oxaprozin (Daypro) and alfalfa. Oxaprozin is an NSAID that can already make your skin a little more sensitive to sunlight for some folks. Alfalfa contains chlorophyll, and in animal studies, very high doses seemed to bump up sun sensitivity too. So the theory is that taking both together might add up and make you sunburn a bit more easily than usual.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is theoretical and based on animal research, not proven in people. It's a fairly minor concern. Still, while taking both, it's smart to use sunscreen, wear a hat, and limit long sun exposure. If your skin reacts more than expected, check in with your pharmacist or doctor.

Oxaprozin treats the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis — reducing joint pain, swelling, and stiffness. These uses are shared across available oral formulations, including Coxanto capsules, Oxaprozin capsules, and Oxaprozin tablets (including Daypro).

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis dosing for children ages 6 to 16 is weight-based and has been studied with both the capsule and tablet formulations.
