Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine, Dextromethorphan falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Atractylodes interacts with.

Theoretically, atractylodes might decrease the levels of CYP1A2 substrates.
In animals, atractylodes administered at high doses has been shown to induce CYP1A2 activity. This effect has not been shown in humans.

Here's the gist with this Coricidin combo (acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, and dextromethorphan) alongside atractylodes. In animal studies given at high doses, atractylodes seemed to speed up a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. If that happened in people, it could clear certain medications a bit faster, possibly making them slightly less effective. The good news is this was only seen in lab and animal research and has not been shown in humans.

Honestly, this is a very minor, theoretical concern, and these cold and flu ingredients aren't strongly tied to CYP1A2 anyway. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. If you take atractylodes regularly and want peace of mind, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine, Dextromethorphan also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES.

Theoretically, atractylodes might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
In animals, atractylodes administered at high doses has been shown to inhibit CYP3A1 activity, which is a homolog to the human CYP3A4 enzyme. This effect has not been shown in humans.

Here's the gist with this combo cold medicine (Coricidin) and atractylodes. The dextromethorphan (the cough suppressant) is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In high-dose animal studies, atractylodes slowed down a similar enzyme, which could in theory let a little more of the drug build up. If that happened, you might feel a bit more drowsy, dizzy, or foggy than usual, on top of the sleepiness chlorpheniramine already causes.

That said, this is purely a theoretical concern. It has never been shown in people, the rating is minor, and the evidence is only lab and animal work. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but since both can make you tired, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist before pairing them.
