Phenprocoumon falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Atractylodes interacts with.

Theoretically, atractylodes might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.
Laboratory research suggests that atractylenolides II and III, constituents of atractylodes, reduce platelet activation. So far, this has not been shown in humans.

Phenprocoumon is a powerful blood thinner, similar in spirit to warfarin, and it walks a narrow tightrope. Even small nudges in either direction can matter, which is why we pay close attention here. The concern with Atractylodes is that some of its compounds (called atractylenolides) appear to calm down platelets, the tiny cells that help your blood clot. Stacked on top of Phenprocoumon, that could in theory tip you toward easier bleeding.

What's important: this signal comes only from lab and animal studies, not from people, so it's theoretical for now. Still, watch for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or unusually long bleeding from small cuts. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor first so your levels stay on track.
