Capmatinib Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.

Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA inhibits CYP3A4 by up to 37%.

Here's the basic idea with these two together. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down and clear capmatinib (Tabrecta). In lab testing, BMPEA appears to slow that enzyme down by a little over a third. If it does the same thing in the body, capmatinib could clear more slowly and build up to higher levels than expected, which can mean more of its side effects, things like nausea, vomiting, swelling, fatigue, and changes in liver tests.

I want to be straight with you though: this is theoretical, based only on test-tube data, not on real people. The bigger concern is BMPEA itself. It's an amphetamine-like stimulant that can raise heart rate and blood pressure and isn't an approved supplement, so I'd steer clear of it and check with your oncologist or pharmacist first.

Tabrecta (capmatinib) is used to treat adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) — lung cancer that has spread — whose tumors carry a specific genetic change called a MET exon 14 skipping mutation. A patient must test positive for this mutation using an FDA-approved test before starting treatment.

This is a targeted therapy, meaning it works against tumors with this particular genetic driver rather than all lung cancers.
