Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the simple version: methylphenidate is already a stimulant. It works directly to speed up your nervous system, which can raise your heart rate and blood pressure and make you feel more alert and wired. BMPEA is also a stimulant, chemically close to amphetamine. When you stack two stimulants together, the worry is that their effects pile on top of each other.

So taking both could mean a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or chest discomfort. In rare cases, combining stimulants can strain the heart. I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how these drugs work, not hard human studies. Still, BMPEA isn't a tested or approved ingredient, and it sometimes hides in supplements unlabeled. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.
