Ixazomib Citrate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.

Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA inhibits CYP3A4 by up to 37%.

Here's the gist: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down and clear Ninlaro (ixazomib). In lab dish studies, BMPEA appears to slow that same enzyme down by about a third. If that happened in a real person, ixazomib could clear more slowly and build up, which may mean stronger side effects like nausea, diarrhea or constipation, low blood platelets and easier bruising, fatigue, or nerve tingling in the hands and feet.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical, based on test-tube data, not actual patient cases. Still, BMPEA is an unapproved amphetamine-like stimulant with real heart risks, and it's a poor mix with cancer therapy. Please run it by your oncology team or pharmacist before using any supplement.

What Is Ixazomib Used For?

Brand name: Ninlaro

Ninlaro (ixazomib) is used to treat multiple myeloma — a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow. It is not used alone; it is always taken together with two other medicines, lenalidomide and dexamethasone. This combination is for adults who have already received at least one prior treatment for their myeloma.

Ninlaro is not recommended for use as maintenance therapy or in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients on a lenalidomide and dexamethasone regimen outside of controlled clinical trials.
