If you take prescription methamphetamine (Desoxyn), here's the idea behind this pairing. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear methamphetamine from your system. In lab dish studies, boswellic acids from Boswellia appear to slow that same enzyme down. In theory, that could let a bit more methamphetamine linger, nudging up stimulant effects like a faster heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or reduced appetite.

I want to be honest about how soft this is. It's based only on test-tube data, not on real people, so we don't know if it matters in everyday life. Still, since methamphetamine is a tightly controlled stimulant, it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.
