Ethinyl Estradiol, Levonorgestrel falls under ESTROGENS — the group Bridelia interacts with.

In animals, Bridelia ferruginea extract has estrogenic effects, although the magnitude of these effects is less than that of ethinylestradiol. Theoretically, Bridelia might interfere with hormone therapy.

Your birth control pill combines two hormones, ethinyl estradiol (an estrogen) and levonorgestrel (a progestin). The concern here is that Bridelia, in animal studies, appears to have its own mild estrogen-like activity. In theory, adding a plant that acts a little like estrogen on top of your pill could nudge your hormone balance, though the effect seen in animals was much weaker than the estrogen already in your pill.

I want to be honest with you: this is a theoretical worry based only on lab and animal work, not on real human cases. We don't have good evidence that it weakens your birth control or causes problems like breakthrough bleeding. Still, since pregnancy prevention matters, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.
