Animal research suggests that Bridelia extracts decrease arterial pressure. Theoretically, concomitant use of Bridelia with antihypertensive drugs might have additive blood pressure lowering effects.
Some antihypertensive drugs include nifedipine (Adalat, Procardia), verapamil (Calan, Isoptin, Verelan), diltiazem (Cardizem), isradipine (DynaCirc), felodipine (Plendil), amlodipine (Norvasc), and others.

Here's the simple version: indapamide is a water pill that lowers blood pressure by helping your body shed extra salt and water. Animal studies hint that Bridelia may also nudge blood pressure down on its own. Put the two together and the effects could stack up, pushing your numbers lower than intended.

If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy when you stand up, tired, or even faint. I want to be honest about the evidence, though: this is theoretical, based on lab and animal work, not human studies, so we don't really know how much it matters in real people. Still, since both can lower pressure, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and keep an eye on your readings.

What Is Indapamide Used For?

Brand names: Lozol, Lozide

Indapamide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either on their own or together with other blood pressure medications. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of related complications.

Indapamide tablets are also used to treat salt and fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure. In certain cases, indapamide may also be appropriate during pregnancy when swelling is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not recommended.
