Here's the gist with Vytorin (simvastatin plus ezetimibe). Part of how your body clears this combo, especially the ezetimibe piece, involves a step called glucuronidation. A small study found that eating cabbage and Brussels sprouts daily seemed to speed that clearance up a bit, which in theory could nudge blood levels down and make the medicine work slightly less well at lowering your cholesterol.

I want to be honest though: this is mostly theoretical and based on limited research. Normal food amounts of cabbage in your meals are very unlikely to throw off your cholesterol control. If you're thinking about large daily servings or concentrated cabbage supplements, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first so they can keep an eye on your numbers.
