Calcium D-glucarate + Belinostat
Belinostat brand name: Beleodaq.
Calcium D-glucarate has a moderate interaction with Belinostat. Theoretically, calcium D-glucarate might increase the clearance of drugs that undergo glucuronidation.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS
Why this applies to Belinostat
Belinostat falls under GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS — the group Calcium D-glucarate interacts with.
The calcium D-glucarate metabolite, D-glucaro-1,4-lactone, inhibits the enzyme beta-glucuronidase, reducing deconjugation of glucuronides in the intestine and thereby reducing reabsorption of the drugs.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Belinostat (Beleodaq). Your liver clears this chemo drug partly by tagging it with a sugar molecule (a process called glucuronidation) so it can leave the body. Calcium D-glucarate may slow an enzyme in your gut that would normally un-tag some of that drug and let it be reabsorbed. The theory is that less gets recycled back, so you could clear belinostat a little faster and end up with slightly lower levels.
Honestly, this is mostly theory, not something proven with belinostat itself, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, with a cancer treatment you want working at full strength, even a small dip matters. Please run any supplement past your oncology team before adding it, and never adjust your chemo on your own.

- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.

About Calcium D-glucarate
What is Calcium D-glucarate?
- Detoxification support
- Hormone balance
- Estrogen metabolism
- Liver support
- General wellness
Calcium D-glucarate is a supplement form of a natural compound found in fruits and vegetables that is promoted for 'detoxification' and helping the body clear excess hormones. Human evidence for these benefits is very limited, and most research comes from laboratory or animal studies. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have a hormone-related condition.
About Belinostat Injection
What Is Belinostat Injection Used For?
Brand name: Beleodaq
Beleodaq (belinostat) injection is approved to treat adult patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) — a fast-growing type of lymphoma (blood cancer) that either came back after treatment or never fully responded to it.
This approval is based on how well the cancer responded to the drug, including how long those responses lasted. Whether Beleodaq extends overall survival or improves disease-related symptoms has not yet been established. Continued approval may depend on results from a confirmatory trial.
