Here's the short version: there's a possibility that calcium D-glucarate could lower the amount of kanamycin in your bloodstream by helping your body clear it a little faster. Kanamycin is an injectable aminoglycoside antibiotic, and it works directly as-is (it's not a prodrug that needs activating), so if your levels drop, the main concern would be the antibiotic simply not fighting the infection as well as it should.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. This is a theoretical concern based on lab and animal data, not real human studies, and it's rated as minor. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since kanamycin is usually given for serious infections in a monitored setting, just let your care team know about any supplement you're taking so they can keep an eye on things.
