simvastatin/ezetimibe falls under GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS — the group Calcium D-glucarate interacts with.

Theoretically, calcium D-glucarate might increase the clearance of drugs that undergo glucuronidation.
The calcium D-glucarate metabolite, D-glucaro-1,4-lactone, inhibits the enzyme beta-glucuronidase, reducing deconjugation of glucuronides in the intestine and thereby reducing reabsorption of the drugs.

Here's the gist with Vytorin, which combines simvastatin and ezetimibe. The ezetimibe part actually gets recycled through your gut using a process called glucuronidation, where your body tags it and sends it into the intestine, then reabsorbs it to keep it working. Calcium D-glucarate may quiet down an enzyme (beta-glucuronidase) involved in that recycling, which could mean a little less ezetimibe gets reabsorbed and stays active. In theory, that might make your cholesterol-lowering a touch weaker.

I want to be honest though: this is mostly a theoretical concern from lab and animal work, not strong human studies, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, if you take both, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor and keep up with your usual cholesterol checks.
