Cauliflower + Aspirin, Pentazocine
Aspirin, Pentazocine brand name: Talwin Compound.
Cauliflower has a moderate interaction with Aspirin, Pentazocine. Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that eating cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, cauliflower, daikon radish sprouts, and cabbage, can increase cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) activity by 14% to 27%.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Aspirin, Pentazocine
Aspirin, Pentazocine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Cauliflower interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Talwin Compound combines aspirin with pentazocine, a pain reliever. The pentazocine part is processed partly by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. Cruciferous veggies like cauliflower may gently speed that enzyme up (studies suggest a modest 14 to 27 percent bump). In theory, that could clear pentazocine a little faster, meaning your pain medicine might feel slightly weaker or not last quite as long.
Honestly, this is mostly theoretical and based on lower-quality evidence. Enjoying cauliflower as a normal food is very unlikely to throw off your pain control. I'd only pause if you're taking concentrated cauliflower or cruciferous supplement pills daily. If your pain relief seems off, chat with your pharmacist or doctor rather than changing anything yourself.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Pentazocine page
“Talwin Compound pairs pentazocine, an opioid painkiller, with aspirin, and I read its supplement list with more concern than most. The great majority of entries do one of two things: raise the bleeding risk that aspirin already carries, or deepen the sedation pentazocine causes.”

About Cauliflower
What is Cauliflower?
- General nutrition and a low-carb vegetable
- Source of vitamin C and fiber
- Antioxidant support
- Digestive and gut health
- Part of a heart-healthy diet
Cauliflower is a nutritious cruciferous vegetable that provides vitamin C, fiber, and plant compounds called glucosinolates. As a food it is healthy and safe for most people, but there is no strong proof that cauliflower supplements treat or prevent any specific disease. Enjoy it as part of a balanced diet rather than relying on pills.

Aspirin, Pentazocine Is Linked to Lower Levels of 3 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Aspirin, Pentazocine as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Cauliflower — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
