When used orally and appropriately. Choline is safe when taken in doses below the tolerable upper intake level (UL), which is 3 grams daily during pregnancy and lactation in those up to 18 years of age and 3.5 grams daily for those 19 years and older. Fenofibrate is used alongside a cholesterol-lowering diet in adults to improve abnormal lipid levels.
