Clevidipine (Cleviprex) is a fast-acting IV blood pressure medicine, usually given in a hospital setting to bring high blood pressure down quickly. The concern here isn't about how your body breaks the drug down. Instead, it's that cod liver oil itself can gently lower blood pressure thanks to its omega-3 fatty acids. Stacked on top of clevidipine, those effects could add up.

In plain terms, your pressure might drop a little more than expected, which could leave you feeling lightheaded, dizzy, or weak. Keep in mind this is mostly a theoretical concern, and clevidipine is given in monitored settings where staff watch your blood pressure closely. Still, it's worth telling your care team you take cod liver oil so they can keep an eye on things.
