Here's the concern with combining elderberry and Inflectra (infliximab-dyyb). Inflectra works by quieting your immune system, specifically by blocking a signal called TNF (tumor necrosis factor) to calm down conditions like Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or rheumatoid arthritis. Elderberry, on the other hand, may gently rev up parts of the immune system and increase those very same signals (including TNF). So in theory, they pull in opposite directions, and elderberry could blunt how well your Inflectra works.

I want to be honest: this is mostly a theoretical concern based on lab findings, not strong human studies. Still, since a flare-up of your underlying condition is no small thing, it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before adding elderberry. Don't stop or change anything on your own.
