Here's the thinking behind this one. Skyrizi works by quieting down part of your immune system, specifically by blocking a signal called interleukin-23, which calms the inflammation behind psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, or Crohn's. Elderberry, on the other hand, may gently nudge the immune system in the opposite direction by encouraging the body to make more inflammatory messengers like certain interleukins and TNF. In theory, those two could work against each other, meaning your Skyrizi might not control your symptoms as well.

I want to be honest though: this is mostly a theoretical concern from lab work, not something clearly seen in people taking both. Occasional culinary use of cooked elderberry is unlikely to matter much, but before using a concentrated supplement regularly, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor.

Elderberry is a popular herbal supplement, mainly taken to help with colds and flu. Some small studies suggest it may modestly shorten cold or flu symptoms, but the evidence is limited and not conclusive. About Risankizumab-rzaa Injection

What Is Risankizumab-rzaa Injection Used For?

Brand name: Skyrizi

Skyrizi (risankizumab-rzaa) injection is approved to treat moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and active psoriatic arthritis in adults and children 6 years of age and older. It is also approved for moderately to severely active Crohn's disease and moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis in adults.

For plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, Skyrizi is given as a subcutaneous (under-the-skin) injection. For Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, Skyrizi treatment begins with intravenous (IV) infusions given in a clinical setting, followed by subcutaneous maintenance injections.
