Fenugreek + Sildenafil
Sildenafil brand name: Revatio.
Fenugreek has a moderate interaction with Sildenafil. Theoretically, concurrent use of sildenafil and fenugreek might reduce levels and therapeutic effects of sildenafil.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
SILDENAFIL (Viagra)
Animal research shows that taking fenugreek seeds for 1 week reduces maximum concentrations and the area under the curve of a single dose of sildenafil by 27% and 48%, respectively. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: fenugreek, when used as a concentrated supplement, may lower how much sildenafil your body actually absorbs. Sildenafil is the active drug itself (not a prodrug that needs switching on), so less of it in your bloodstream usually means a weaker effect. For erectile dysfunction that could mean a less reliable response, and for pulmonary hypertension it could mean the medicine doesn't control your symptoms as well.
I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. This comes from an animal study, not from people, and it hasn't actually been reported in humans. A sprinkle of fenugreek in cooking is very unlikely to matter. If you take it daily as a supplement, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

Questions About Fenugreek or Sildenafil
These are real questions from readers, answered by the pharmacists at HelloPharmacist — written by a person, not generated from a database. From our pharmacist’s overview on the Sildenafil page
“Sildenafil relaxes blood vessels, whether prescribed as Revatio for pulmonary hypertension or as Viagra, and that blood-pressure-lowering action makes this list one to treat with genuine care. Of the 160 supplement and herbal ingredients on file, five carry a major rating, and those deserve understanding first.”

About Fenugreek
What is Fenugreek?
- Blood sugar control
- Boosting breast milk supply
- High cholesterol
- Digestive upset
- Low testosterone or libido
Fenugreek is a common kitchen spice that is also taken as a supplement, mainly for blood sugar, cholesterol, and to support breast milk production. Some early research is encouraging for blood sugar, but overall the evidence is mixed and far from settled. It is generally well tolerated as food, but talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it as a supplement, especially if you are pregnant.
About Sildenafil
What Is Sildenafil Used For?
Brand name: Revatio
Sildenafil treats two distinct conditions depending on the product. Viagra (tablet) and Vybrique (dissolving oral film) are approved for erectile dysfunction (ED) — difficulty getting or keeping an erection. Generic sildenafil tablets and oral film are also approved for ED.
Revatio and several generic sildenafil products (tablets, oral suspension, and injection) are used for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs — in adults to improve exercise ability and slow the disease from getting worse. Revatio oral suspension and injection are also approved for PAH in children ages 1 to 17.
