Sumatriptan is a triptan you take for migraine attacks, and it works partly by acting on serotonin pathways in your brain. The concern here is that fermented wheat germ extract might also nudge serotonin levels upward, at least based on animal studies. Put the two together and you could, in theory, see a bit more serotonin activity than intended.

I want to be honest about how weak this evidence is. It comes from lab and animal research, not from people, so this is more of a caution than a proven problem. If serotonin did run high, the signs to watch for would be agitation, a fast heartbeat, sweating, shivering, or muscle twitching. Please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you take other serotonin medicines.
