Dr. Brian Staiger, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the simple version. Sitaxsentan (Thelin) is used to relax blood vessels and lower the high lung pressure seen in pulmonary hypertension, so it can nudge your overall blood pressure down too. Flaxseed oil, when taken regularly as a supplement, may also lower blood pressure a little in some people. Stack the two and the worry is just that they could add together and push your pressure too low.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or notice your heart racing, especially when standing up quickly. To be clear, this is a theoretical concern based on how these work, not something proven for this combination, and flaxseed's blood-pressure effect is mild and inconsistent. Still, check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.
