Ketoprofen falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Garcinia interacts with.

Theoretically, hydroxycitric acid (HCA), the main active ingredient in garcinia, might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
HCA inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. The inhibitory effect seems to be greater in platelets extracted from diabetic subjects than non-diabetic subjects.

Here's the gist with Garcinia and ketoprofen. Ketoprofen is an NSAID, and like other NSAIDs it can already make your blood a little slower to clot and can irritate the stomach lining. Garcinia's main compound, hydroxycitric acid, appears to slow platelets from sticking together in test-tube studies. Put the two together and, in theory, you could nudge your bleeding risk a bit higher.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is theoretical, based on lab work, not real patient reports. Still, watch for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, dark or bloody stools, or stomach upset. If you're considering Garcinia while taking ketoprofen, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, especially if you have any stomach or liver concerns.

What Is Ketoprofen Used For?

Brand names: Orudis, Oruvail Gel, Powergel, Oruvail Injection

Ketoprofen capsules (including the brand Orudis) are used to manage the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, to treat pain, and to treat primary dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual periods).

Ketoprofen extended-release capsules are approved for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis only. Because of the way they slowly release the drug, ketoprofen extended-release capsules are not recommended for treating acute (sudden) pain.
