Garcinia + Testosterone
Testosterone brand names: Intrinsa, Testim, Androgel, Andropatch, Testogel, and others.
Garcinia has a moderate interaction with Testosterone. Theoretically, concomitant use with other potentially hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of developing liver damage.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Testosterone
Testosterone falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Garcinia interacts with.
There have been reports of acute hepatitis with elevated liver enzymes associated with garcinia, when taken alone or in combination with other ingredients. Case reports collected from the Drug Induced Liver Injury Network suggest this risk may be greater in people who carry the HLA B*35:01 allele.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with pairing Garcinia and testosterone: both can be hard on your liver. Garcinia has been linked to rare cases of liver irritation and even acute hepatitis, and testosterone (especially oral or injected forms) can occasionally raise liver enzymes or stress the liver too. Stack two liver-stressors together and you may bump up the chance of trouble.
To be fair, this is a theoretical caution based on how these things work, not solid proof, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, if you ever notice yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, that's worth a quick call. Before adding Garcinia, check with your pharmacist or doctor, since they can keep an eye on your liver labs.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Testosterone
This page covers Garcinia only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Testosterone page lists 170 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Beer (major), Grapefruit (major), Siberian Cocklebur (major), St. John's Wort (major) and Wine (major).
By severity: 5 major · 129 moderate · 36 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Testosterone page
“The supplement list for testosterone therapy (Androgel, Testim, Nebido, and others) deserves real attention, mainly because five of its 170 entries are rated major and four of those are everyday items: grapefruit, St. John's wort, and alcohol in the form of beer or wine.”

About Garcinia
What is Garcinia?
- Weight loss
- Appetite suppression
- Curbing sugar and carb cravings
- Supporting metabolism
- Traditional cooking and souring agent
Garcinia is a tropical fruit whose rind contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA), widely marketed for weight loss and appetite control. The scientific evidence is weak and mixed, with most studies showing only small or no meaningful weight effects, and rare reports of liver problems raise safety concerns. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before trying it, especially if you have liver issues, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
About Testosterone
What Is Testosterone Used For?
Brand names: Intrinsa, Testim, Androgel, Andropatch, Testogel, Nebido, Delatestryl, Natesto, Vogelxo
Testosterone replacement therapy is used in adult males whose bodies do not produce enough of their own testosterone. This includes primary hypogonadism — where the testes themselves fail due to causes such as Klinefelter's syndrome, injury, chemotherapy, or surgical removal — and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, where the brain's signaling system (the hypothalamus or pituitary gland) fails to trigger testosterone production.
Testopel (subcutaneous pellets) may also be used to stimulate puberty in carefully selected males with clearly delayed puberty. The safety and efficacy of testosterone for age-related (late-onset) hypogonadism have not been established for most products, including AndroGel, Testim, Jatenzo, Kyzatrex, Natesto, Depo-Testosterone, Testosterone Cypionate, and Xyosted.
