Garden Cress + Sildenafil
Sildenafil brand name: Revatio.
Garden Cress has a moderate interaction with Sildenafil. Theoretically, concurrent use of sildenafil and L-arginine might reduce levels and therapeutic effects of sildenafil.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
SILDENAFIL (Viagra)
Animal research shows that garden cress seed for 1 week reduces maximum concentrations and the area under the curve of a single dose of sildenafil by 40% and 51%, respectively. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with sildenafil (whether you take it as Viagra for ED or Revatio for lung pressure) and garden cress. Sildenafil works as-is in your body, so it's not a prodrug that needs activating. In animal studies, garden cress seed taken for about a week lowered how much sildenafil reached the bloodstream by roughly 40 to 50 percent. In plain terms, that could mean a weaker effect, less help with an erection, or less benefit for your breathing and exercise tolerance with PAH.
Keep in mind this is theoretical and based only on animal research. It hasn't been seen in people, and a sprinkle of cress in a salad is very different from concentrated seed supplements. If you regularly take cress seed, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.

About Garden Cress
What is Garden Cress?
- Digestive support
- Bone health
- Iron and vitamin source
- Cough and respiratory comfort
- Boosting breast milk (traditional)
- Constipation relief
Garden cress is a nutritious leafy herb and seed used widely in cooking and traditional medicine, providing vitamins, minerals, and fiber. While it has a long history of use for digestion, bone health, and lactation, strong human research supporting most medicinal claims is limited. It is generally safe as a food, but concentrated seed supplements should be used cautiously and avoided in pregnancy.
About Sildenafil
What Is Sildenafil Used For?
Brand name: Revatio
Sildenafil treats two distinct conditions depending on the product. Viagra (tablet) and Vybrique (dissolving oral film) are approved for erectile dysfunction (ED) — difficulty getting or keeping an erection. Generic sildenafil tablets and oral film are also approved for ED.
Revatio and several generic sildenafil products (tablets, oral suspension, and injection) are used for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs — in adults to improve exercise ability and slow the disease from getting worse. Revatio oral suspension and injection are also approved for PAH in children ages 1 to 17.
