Aspirin, Oxycodone falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Goldenseal interacts with.

Theoretically, goldenseal might increase the sedative effects of CNS depressants.
Goldenseal contains berberine. Animal research shows that berberine can have sedative effects. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Percodan combines oxycodone, an opioid pain reliever, with aspirin. The oxycodone part already causes drowsiness, slowed breathing, and a foggy, sleepy feeling on its own. Goldenseal contains berberine, and in animal studies berberine showed some sedative effects. The worry on file is that, in theory, goldenseal could add to that calming, sleepy effect.

Here's the honest part: this hasn't actually been seen in people, so the evidence is weak and theoretical. Still, since opioids like oxycodone already make you tired, I'd rather you not stack anything extra that might pile on. If you notice more drowsiness, dizziness, or feeling unusually out of it, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

Percodan combines aspirin with oxycodone, and it's the oxycodone part that matters here. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn some of the oxycodone into a stronger pain-relieving form. Goldenseal can slow that same enzyme down. Interestingly, this could actually reduce some of the conversion to that more potent metabolite, but research overall suggests goldenseal tends to raise oxycodone levels in the body, which can mean stronger effects.

In real life that could show up as more drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, constipation, or slowed breathing. The evidence here is modest, so I wouldn't panic, but since this is an opioid, please don't combine them without checking first. A quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor is the safest move.

Percodan combines aspirin with oxycodone. The part that matters here is the aspirin, which already thins your blood a bit by keeping platelets from clumping together. Goldenseal contains berberine, and in lab dishes and animal studies berberine seems to slow platelet clumping too. So in theory, pairing the two could add up and make bleeding or bruising a little more likely.

Here's the honest part: this effect has never actually been shown in people, so it's a theoretical concern, not a proven one. Still, watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset, since aspirin can irritate the stomach on its own. Please don't start or stop anything yourself, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
