Lumiracoxib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Goldenseal interacts with.

Theoretically, goldenseal might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.
In vitro research shows that goldenseal root extract can modestly inhibit CYP2C9. This effect may be due to its alkaloid constituents, hydrastine and berberine. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist: Lumiracoxib is a COX-2 anti-inflammatory that your liver clears using an enzyme called CYP2C9. Goldenseal contains plant compounds (berberine and hydrastine) that may gently slow that same enzyme down. If lumiracoxib breaks down more slowly, more of it can linger in your blood, which could nudge up the usual side effects like stomach upset, fluid retention, raised blood pressure, or stress on the kidneys.

The honest part: this concern comes only from lab-dish studies, not from people, so we don't actually know if it matters in real life. It's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor rather than something to panic over. Don't change anything on your own.
