Phenprocoumon falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Goldenseal interacts with.

Theoretically, goldenseal might increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Goldenseal contains berberine. In vitro and animal research shows that berberine can inhibit platelet aggregation. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Phenprocoumon is a blood thinner, in the same family as warfarin, and it works by lowering your body's ability to form clots. Goldenseal contains a compound called berberine, and in lab dishes and animal studies berberine has shown a mild ability to keep platelets from clumping together. In theory, adding that on top of a drug that already thins your blood could nudge your bleeding risk a little higher.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is though. This effect has never actually been reported in people taking the two together. Still, because phenprocoumon is a narrow-margin medication where even small shifts matter, watch for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or unusually dark stools. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting goldenseal, and don't change your phenprocoumon on your own.
