Interaction Details
Hydrochlorothiazide, Spironolactone is classified as belonging to the following category: Diuretic Drugs
Theoretically, gossypol might increase the risk of hypokalemia when taken with potassium-depleting diuretic drugs.
Clinical research shows that gossypol has potassium-depleting effects and can cause hypokalemia. Initiation of potassium supplementation or an increase in potassium supplement dose may be necessary for some patients.
