Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Pentazocine
Aspirin, Pentazocine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Gotu Kola interacts with.
In vitro research suggests that gotu kola may have sedative effects via binding of GABA receptors.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know about Talwin Compound: it contains pentazocine, an opioid pain reliever that already makes many people feel drowsy or foggy. Gotu kola, in lab studies, seems to gently calm the nervous system by acting on GABA receptors (the same calming pathway many sedatives use). So in theory, pairing the two could pile on the sleepiness.
What might that look like? More drowsiness, dizziness, slower thinking, or feeling unsteady on your feet. I'll be honest with you though, this caution is based on lab research, not real cases, so the actual risk is uncertain. The aspirin part isn't really the concern here. If you want to use both, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, especially before driving.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Pentazocine page
“Talwin Compound pairs pentazocine, an opioid painkiller, with aspirin, and I read its supplement list with more concern than most. The great majority of entries do one of two things: raise the bleeding risk that aspirin already carries, or deepen the sedation pentazocine causes.”
