Guarumo + Temazepam
Temazepam brand names: Restoril, Apo-Temazepam, Dom-Temazepam, Gen-Temazepam, Novo-Temazepam, and others.

CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Temazepam
Temazepam falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Guarumo interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: Temazepam (Restoril) already calms your brain to help you sleep. In one animal study, a guarumo leaf extract had its own calming, muscle-relaxing effect on the nervous system. So putting the two together could, in theory, add up to more sedation than you bargained for.
What that might look like is extra grogginess, deeper drowsiness, dizziness, poor coordination, or feeling foggy the next morning. I want to be honest though: this is based only on animal research, not human studies, so the concern is more theoretical than proven. Still, since both work on the same system, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them. Please don't change your temazepam on your own.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Temazepam
This page covers Guarumo only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Temazepam page lists 197 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: 1,4-butanediol (major), Activated Charcoal (major), Beer (major), Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (ghb) (major) and Grapefruit (major).
By severity: 9 major · 150 moderate · 38 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Temazepam page
“Alcohol is the interaction I would flag first for anyone taking temazepam (Restoril), a benzodiazepine sleep medicine. Beer and wine both carry major ratings because they layer their own sedation on top of a drug that already depresses the nervous system, and that additive drowsiness runs through 78 of the 197 supplements on file.”

About Guarumo
What is Guarumo?
- Type 2 diabetes / blood sugar support
- High blood pressure
- Cough, asthma, and bronchitis
- Heart failure symptoms
- Liver and rheumatic complaints
Guarumo (Cecropia obtusifolia) is a tropical tree used in Latin American traditional medicine, most often as a leaf tea for diabetes and high blood pressure. Some early laboratory and small human studies suggest it may modestly affect blood sugar, but the evidence is limited and not strong enough to recommend it as a treatment. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have a chronic condition or take medication.
