The flowering above ground parts of hedge mustard contain cardioactive glycosides. Theoretically, concomitant use of potassium depleting diuretics and hedge mustard can increase the risk of cardiac glycoside toxicity due to potassium depletion.

Here's the gist for Hydroflumethiazide (Saluron). It's a thiazide-type water pill, and like most diuretics it can flush out potassium along with the extra fluid. The concern is that hedge mustard's flowering tops contain small amounts of cardiac glycosides (heart-active plant compounds). If your potassium runs low from the diuretic, your heart can become more sensitive to those glycoside effects, which in theory could nudge you toward irregular heartbeats.

I want to be honest with you though: this is a theoretical caution based on the plant's chemistry, not proven cases. It's worth a mention rather than alarm. If you take Hydroflumethiazide and want to try hedge mustard tea or syrup, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first so your potassium can be watched.
