Infliximab-Abda falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Hemp Agrimony interacts with.

Hemp agrimony contains hepatotoxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA). Theoretically, using hemp agrimony with hepatotoxic drugs might have additive adverse effects on the liver. Some drugs that can adversely affect the liver include acetaminophen (Tylenol and others), amiodarone (Cordarone), carbamazepine (Tegretol), isoniazid (INH), methotrexate (Rheumatrex), methyldopa (Aldomet), fluconazole (Diflucan), itraconazole (Sporanox), erythromycin (Erythrocin, Ilosone, others), phenytoin (Dilantin), lovastatin (Mevacor), pravastatin (Pravachol), simvastatin (Zocor), and many others.

Renflexis (infliximab-abda) is a biologic infusion used for conditions like Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and rheumatoid arthritis. One thing to know about it is that it can occasionally stress your liver, which is why your care team usually checks your liver enzymes while you're on it.

Here's the concern: hemp agrimony can contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids, natural compounds that are known to be hard on the liver. So pairing it with a medication that already carries some liver risk could, in theory, add up to more strain on that organ. This is a theoretical worry based on how these substances behave, not something proven in studies, but the liver risk from hemp agrimony itself is real enough that most experts advise against taking it internally. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before using any product containing it.
