Here's the thing about pairing henbane with prochlorperazine: both have anticholinergic activity, meaning they block the messenger acetylcholine. Prochlorperazine itself carries this side effect, and henbane is loaded with potent tropane alkaloids that do the same thing. Stack them together and those effects can pile up.

What might that feel like? Dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, trouble urinating, a racing heartbeat, confusion, or overheating, especially in older folks. This concern is theoretical, based on how these compounds work rather than hard case reports, but henbane is genuinely toxic and not something I'd recommend taking at all. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything like this.

What Is Prochlorperazine Used For?

Brand names: Prochlor, Compazine

Prochlorperazine is used across several forms and products to control severe nausea and vomiting in adults. It is also used to treat schizophrenia. Prochlorperazine tablets (Prochlorperazine, Prochlorperazine Maleate) are additionally approved for the short-term treatment of generalized non-psychotic anxiety — though they are not the first-choice treatment for anxiety, given their risk profile.

Compro rectal suppositories and Prochlorperazine rectal suppositories are specifically indicated for controlling severe nausea and vomiting in adults. Prochlorperazine Edisylate injection is approved for severe nausea and vomiting and for schizophrenia, but it is not approved for dementia-related psychosis.
