Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Codeine Phosphate, Magnesium Hydroxide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Higenamine interacts with.

Theoretically, higenamine might increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
In vitro research shows that higenamine inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

The piece of this combo product that matters here is the codeine. Codeine is a prodrug, meaning it doesn't do much until your body converts it into morphine, and the enzyme that does that conversion is CYP2D6. Lab studies suggest higenamine can block CYP2D6. If that happened in real life, less codeine would turn into morphine, so you might get less pain relief and less cough control than expected.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is only seen in test-tube research, never confirmed in people, so it's largely theoretical. The aspirin, aluminum, and magnesium parts aren't really affected. Given that higenamine itself has heart and blood pressure concerns, please run this past your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

Here's the piece to pay attention to with this combo product: it contains aspirin, which is a blood thinner that keeps your platelets from clumping together. Higenamine, in animal studies, seems to do something similar, slowing platelet activity and clot formation. So if you stack the two, you could in theory tip the scale toward easier bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that's slower to stop, especially if you nick yourself or have a stomach upset (aspirin can already irritate the stomach lining).

I'll be honest with you though: this is theoretical, based only on lab and animal work, not human studies. It's a reasonable caution, not a reason to panic. Since higenamine product labels are often inaccurate and it can also rev up your heart and blood pressure, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
