Roflumilast falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Higenamine interacts with.

Theoretically, higenamine might increase the levels and clinical effects drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that higenamine inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes by 21%. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for Roflumilast (Daliresp, Zoryve). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear this medicine. In lab dishes, higenamine slowed that enzyme down a little (about 21%). If that same thing happened in people, roflumilast could build up a bit and its side effects might feel stronger, things like nausea, diarrhea, weight loss, headache, trouble sleeping, or mood changes.

I want to be honest, though: this is only test-tube data and hasn't been seen in real patients, so it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven problem. Even so, higenamine itself raises heart-rate and blood-pressure worries, especially in folks with COPD. Please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two.

Higenamine is a plant-based stimulant compound added to many weight-loss and pre-workout supplements, but there is very little human evidence that it works and real concerns about heart and blood pressure effects. About Roflumilast

What Is Roflumilast Used For?

Brand names: Daliresp, Zoryve

Daliresp and roflumilast tablets are used to reduce the risk of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) flare-ups in adults with severe COPD linked to chronic bronchitis who have had flare-ups in the past. They are not rescue inhalers and will not relieve a sudden breathing attack.

Zoryve cream is used topically to treat plaque psoriasis (adults and children 2+) and mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children as young as 2. Zoryve topical foam is used to treat seborrheic dermatitis (adults and children 9+) and plaque psoriasis of the scalp and body (adults and children 12+).
