Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Asenapine
Asenapine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Horny Goat Weed interacts with.
In vitro, horny goat weed leaf extract inhibits CYP1A2. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the short version: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP1A2 to help clear asenapine (Saphris, Secuado) out of your system. In lab dish studies, horny goat weed appears to slow that enzyme down. If that happened in a real person, asenapine could build up a bit and you might notice more of its usual effects, things like drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness when standing up, restlessness, or a numb feeling in your mouth from the dissolving tablet.
The big caveat is that this is only theoretical, seen in test tubes and not actually reported in people, so I wouldn't panic. Still, since the two haven't been studied together, please run it past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Asenapine page
“The heart rhythm risk is the one to understand first. Asenapine (Saphris, Secuado), an antipsychotic for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, can affect the QT interval, the electrical reset between heartbeats, and 13 ingredients on this list can prolong it too, including everyday grapefruit.”

- Erectile dysfunction
- Low libido

- General 'vitality' or performance
Horny goat weed (Epimedium) is a traditional Chinese herb most often marketed for low libido and erectile problems, but solid human evidence for these uses is lacking. While short-term use seems generally tolerated by some people, quality and safety are not well studied, so talk to your pharmacist or doctor before trying it—especially if you have heart problems or take other medicines.
